    FLS Champions' Network

Join the FLS Champions' Network to share and gain knowledge, expertise and best practice in FLS and secondary fracture prevention, and support the roll-out of FLS across the UK.

What is the FLS Champions' Network?

The FLS Champions' Network was initially set up as part of the FLS Database (FLS-DB) work, which was led by the Royal College of Physicians. Since that time, a great deal of work has been underway to help support and promote FLS both locally and nationally. This has been led by the FLS Implementation Group which brings together the key national stakeholders active in this area, and includes the development and dissemination of a range of FLS resources to support service development or improvement.

Centralising communication through the FLS Champions' Network will enable greater engagement with the wider FLS community, helping with growth and development of services.

Members of the Network include all healthcare professionals that share a specialist interest in FLS. It is not a requirement to have an FLS to become an FLS Champion: some members are actively engaged in FLS, while others may join the network to gain a greater understanding and insight into FLS.

The FLS Champions' Network is housed on an interactive web-based forum, allowing members to share best practice in FLS and secondary fracture prevention.

Why Should I Join?

If you are a healthcare professional currently working within an FLS, are looking to improve your service, or would like to set up an FLS from scratch, then becoming an FLS Champion should be next on your list to do!

The FLS Champions' Network has three main aims:

• To support the development of FLS across the UK through a collective network of knowledge and expertise, sharing best practice in FLS and secondary fracture prevention.

• To ensure those working in FLS remain up-to-date with all relevant work programmes regarding FLS and secondary fracture prevention across the UK.

• To provide the opportunity to communicate directly with the Charity and the relevant resources we provide.

In addition, all members will receive our monthly e-newsletter, Osteoporosis Update.
