I have the Will to make it happen, do you?
Terry’s Story
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis six years ago, at the age of 54, following multiple spinal fractures. This changed my life dramatically. The pain and restrictions meant I could no longer live my present life. My confidence was at rock bottom but, following help and advice from the National Osteoporosis Society – both national and the local support group – I regained strength and confidence and now live a very active, happy and full life.
The nurses manning the Helpline were extremely helpful and supportive at a time when I thought my life, as I knew it, was over. On several occasions they gave me reassurance and excellent advice following questions I asked about exercise, treatment and medication.
I feel this charity is a worthwhile one to support particularly as I have experienced osteoporosis personally. Having been a member of the Research Grants Committee, I am very aware of the amount of funding that is needed, not only for research, but to fund the Helpline and to raise awareness of this disease. That is why I have arranged to leave a gift to the National Osteoporosis Society in my will. I have the will to make it happen. Do you?
Have you already included the National Osteoporosis Society in your Will?

If, like Terry, you have already included a gift in your Will for the National Osteoporosis Society, or if you intend to in the future, then we would love to hear from you. This information will of course be treated in the strictest confidence and is not binding in any way but will enable us to ensure that we are communicating with you appropriately.
We of course understand that a Will is a private matter and that not everyone wants to tell us about their gift. However, we would love the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ now for your future gift as well as to keep you updated on our work, and invite you to future 'thank you' events.
We would also be delighted to hear your story as to why the National Osteoporosis Society is so special to you that you were moved to support us in this way.
You can let us know by completing our I have the Will to Help form below.
