Recycling cartridges and mobile phones
www.reclaim-it.com
Reclaim-it provides the National Osteoporosis Society with the opportunity to generate valuable funds through an environmentally friendly scheme. This scheme revolves around the collection of empty laser toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges and old mobile phones. All of these items can then be recycled, with the resulting value being donated to the charity. Prices vary depending on the type of cartridge and model of mobile phone with empty cartridges worth up to £5 and mobile phones worth up to £24.
Since 2005 we have received nearly £2500 from Reclaim-it as a result of our much valued supporters sending in their unwanted mobile phones and printer cartridges so thank you to everyone who has participated.
If you are interested in sending Reclaim-it your old mobile phone or cartridge all you need to do is contact Amber in the fundraising department (details below) who will arrange for an envelope to be posted out to you. You will then need to put your phone/cartridge in the envelope and post it to the pre-printed address. For every item returned, the National Osteoporosis Society will receive a donation.
If you would like more information on the scheme or your group/organisation is interested in having some envelopes or a Reclaim-it collection point box for the National Osteoporosis Society, please contact Yvonne on 01761 473137 or email y.dix@nos.org.uk.
