Major gifts, Trusts and Foundations

The National Osteoporosis Society works closely with individual donors who are able to contribute £1000 or more towards the work of the charity. We are happy to discuss the range of projects available for support to ensure that major gifts are allocated according to donors’ wishes.

For more information, please contact Amanda Oxford, Development Director on 01761 473136 or email majorgifts@nos.org.uk. We would be delighted to talk to you about our work and how your support can make a difference.

Trusts and Foundations

Donations from charitable trusts and foundations are an essential part of the National Osteoporosis Society’s voluntary income and help enable us to continue to offer our vital services to those in need.

The National Osteoporosis Society has been fortunate enough to receive voluntary funding from a wide range of grant giving bodies. We would consequently like to thank all of the trusts and foundations who have donated to the charity, especially the following organisations for their substantial gifts in 2012:

  • Alice Allen Cooper Dean Charitable Foundation
  • BAND Trust
  • Bryan Guinness Charitable Trust Limited
  • Charles Wolfson Charitable Trust
  • Childwick Trust
  • David Saunders Family Charitable Trust
  • Donald Forrester Trust
  • Dunhill Medical Trust
  • Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
  • Evan Cornish Foundation
  • Forte Charitable Trust
  • Garfield Weston Foundation
  • Headley Trust
  • Herbert and Peter Blagrave Charitable Trust
  • John Ellerman Foundation
  • John James Bristol Foundation
  • Rothermere Foundation
  • Trusthouse Charitable Foundation

We have a wide range of projects and activities that may be of interest including specific medical research projects, our Helpline Service, publications and regional work all over the UK. We would be more than happy to discuss these with you in more detail.

If you would like to find out how your trust or foundation can support the National Osteoporosis Society, please contact the trust fundraising team on 01761 471771 or on trusts@nos.org.uk.
