The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK wide charity dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and fragility fractures. Without early diagnosis and preventative action, osteoporosis can lead to multiple, disabling fractures. We want to change this and have recently launched our ambitious three year campaign “for a Breakfree future” to change the future for people with fragile bones.

Financial Controller

Salary £33-£35,000

(Part time will be considered)

Reporting to the Finance Director, this position is responsible for providing a comprehensive financial service including business partnering across the charity.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc) or AAT qualified, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably Access Dimensions Accounts. The role is responsible for all day to day accounting as well as the annual statutory accounts and audit process.

In addition to assisting in the financial management of the charity, you will manage a team of 2 and will work closely with the charity’s management to develop and improve processes and procedures.

Experience of working in a charity setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
