FRESH website
FRESH is for “Fun, Relevant activities to build Energy, Strength and a Healthy balance system”. That’s the kind of physical activities that are promoted in this new website designed for people of all ages but particularly older people. This website will give you information about strength and balance training so that you can do the right kinds of physical activities that are important as we get older.
By answering a few questions, you will help researchers at Bournemouth University who are trying to find the best ways of presenting this information on the Internet.

Fear of Falling Assessment: A survey of current practice among health professionals
As part of a masters projet the University of Plymouth are conducting an online survey to investigate current practice regarding fear of falling assessments; including how fear of falling is assessed by health professionals, what influences selection of different types of assessment and how assessments might influence intervention or referral selection. Even if you do not currently assess fear of falling as part of a falls risk assessment the researchers would be interested in your views.
Ultimately it is hoped that the results of this study will facilitate selection of an existing tool or inform the development of a new standardised tool which would be used nationally to assess fear of falling.
