London Research Reception

Supporters were invited to a Research Reception at Guy's Hospital in London on Wednesday 15 August. They heard from Dr Michelle Frost Senior Lecturer in Osteoporosis (King's College) who submitted a successful application to the Charity for a Linda Edwards Memorial PhD Studentship, Sylvia Edwards who was recruited to conduct this research, Jane Henderson "a happy guinea pig" who volunteered to take part in the research and Dr Claire Bowring Medical Policy Manager (National Osteoporosis Society).

On the day guests were also asked to help ensure that the National Osteoporosis Society is able to continue investing in research and its other vital and life-changing services by either leaving a gift in their Will or by joining the charity as a Bone Builder. If you would like to find out more about either of these forms of support please visit the A Gift in your Will section of our website or the Bone Builder pages.

For more information about Sylvia Edwards PhD Studentship please visit the project page.
