Does anyone have a Mega Blender? I read about them in a article in the Daily Telegraph. I quote 'No matter how fibrous the fruit and veg, they emerge as if you had sieved them 20 times through silk'. Apparently this is achieved by the friction of the blades being so great it generates heat.

As alot of my meals revolve around using a blender I am tempted to buy one as I am getting rather red up with 'lumpy' vegetable smoothies. The drawback is the cost which is around £439.00.

But then I think 'As I will eating like this for the rest of my life - surely it is worth it?'

Does anyone have any experience of Vitamix or Blendec Super Blenders?

Sarah, I don't know much about blender/juicers, not having one myself but always promising to buy one! However, I have heard that the best blender to purchase is a masticating blender, they are in the price range you are mentioning. They break everything down including stalks etc but there is something about the way they work, in that it is done in a slow heat, maintaining all the goodness. I am know expert but I have always have kept this in mind for when I finally get round to purchasing one. At least you can research before buying to make sure its money well spent.
