| Hi All, just to keep you all updated on my treatment, i think i told you thai i could not take forsteo anymore, due to very bad side effects, so have been without any treatment now for a good few weeks. I am due to see my OP DOC AND NURSE ON MONDAY, so hope i get sorted out soon, in the mean time i am having painkilling injections on the 29thSept, dreading it, they will inject into T12 AND L1. Saw my GP last friday, my b/p was high, so i was sent for a ECG which i had on monday, also just had a load of b/t done today. O one more thing i have to wear a 24hr moniter to measure my b/p, that appt has come today, thats booked for the 21 October!!. Why i am boring you with all this is, i never went to see my gp re all the above!!. So felt really fed up with the whole world, when will it all go away, we are now in the middle of september and still suffering with pain from the spinal fractures!. Got that off my chest, not really!! Best Wishes to you all from Pudseybear x

| You are bound to feel really down in the dumps with being in constant pain. Hopefully your injections will help to control it and make you feel less depressed. The constant pain is probably making your blood pressure worse. Have you tried strontium yet? I've had no side affects from either strontium citrate or ranelate, it may be worth you thinking about it to help your spine. Don't give up hope, things will get better once you can get the pain under control and perhaps start on a different treatment. I'm sure all the forum members will be thinking positive thoughts for you. GOOD LUCK FOR THE 29TH.

Pudsey
It's not surprising you feel like letting off steam about all your treatment. I do hope that the painkillers on the 29th make life more bearable for you.
I hope that you will post that it HAS helped..

HELLO Pudsey Bear, I have read your comments re the pain killing injections. I have had these for T8,9, + 10. They worked so well !!!!
It is a bit of a worry, especially first time around, I had to get to the Hosp. early get into a robe and wait in bed till they were ready for me, as I waited nurses took my Blood pressure and those sort of things, then I was helped onto a trolley and we were off and into the theatre all was v proffesional but also human not all clinical and formal maybe to help us relax it worked.
Then back to the ward, more BP monitoring then the highlight a cup of tea and a biscuit !!!!!
After a while was told I could be collected and went home.
I began to feel a lot better within a couple of days, sometimes I think it can take a bit longer to kick in.
For me this was not far short of magic and well worth the nerves beforehand. I hope all goes well for you Pudsey.
All the best
