Hi All - thanks for the links and tips. I've just started reading 'Osteoporosis, the silent epidemic' by Marilyn Glenville and already find it very interesting reading.

OJ - Diagnosed age 57, T score -2.5 (osteoporosis) on right femur neck. Left hip and L1 through to L4 of the spine are osteopenie. Prescribed Calcichew D3 Forte, (I take one tablet a day)+ 1000iu supplement of D3 cholecalciferol)

Thanks Glenys, I looked at the slide show and article on the Mayo Clinic site. Their exercises remind me of some of those in the book 'Exercises for Osteoporosis' by Dianne Daniels. I started out with those exercises when I was very first diagnosed with osteoporosis, nearly two and a half years ago, and they were good, especially good for at home. I then moved on to a gym and Slow Burn weight lifting

Tscore Lumbar spine -3.3, Femoral neck -2.6, Hip -2.2
Alkali diet (+ no caffeine/sugar/salt/rhubarb/spinach) and exercise and supplements of Vit D (2,000IUs daily), Vit K2 as MK7, vit K2 Menatetrenone, Cod liver oil.

Osteoporosis - Strontium Ranelate, Dekristol vitamin D3 20,000 IU/week, weight lifting, walking and vibration platform exercise, alkaline loaded diet, vitamin K2 MK-7 200mcg/day. Diabetes - Repaglinide, low carb diet and exercise. Congenital heart defect - Omacor and CoQ10. Small airways disease/asthma - Qvar 100. Probable coeliac.
