I have been doing Pilates once of twice a week. I am 57 and have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis of the spine.

Should I continue with pilates? I'm unclear what exercise regime is best. Thanks

I have taken up Pilates since my diagnosis and have been given a leaflet from the physiotherapist at the orthopaedic hospital that tells you what you should not do.  I also have a very good Pilates coach who is very good at explaining what the exercises are for and gives alternatives for any that I feel uncomfortable with.  Personally I feel that it has helped me a lot both physically and mentally.  The NOS should have leaflets or you could ask at your local hospital.  I sit out any moves that I am unsure about.  I hope all goes well for you.
