| Thanks Anne, interesting. I'm glad we agree on Eskimo oil. I haven't heard of Omacor but it sounds good if it is made the same way.

| Hello. Came across this site when searching information on AlgaeCal. I am surgically menopausal and am concerned about maintaining bone density and have been taking Os-Cal ultra. I'm very interested in what everyone has been saying about AlgaeCal + Stronium Boost so much so that I think I'd like to purchase some. It seems that as usual, it is a product from the States with all the shipping and customs minefield attached. Can anyone advise me where there is a good online store to take a look at both AlgaeCal+Stronium with a view to purchase. Has anyone purchased from the States and if so has anyone had to pay customs duty? I'm assuming that supplements from the States can be shipped to the UK. I am new to this site so am hoping I have not raised a topic which is not allowed to be discussed, my apologise if I have. Su

Hello, again. I am the anonymous above, have just completed my registration which I think I should have done before I posted my previous question. So hello to all the people who have contributed to the AlgaeCal+StroniumBoost topic, I have read all of them and they are very interesting and really helpful. Thanks.

| Souix, here is a link to the order page for AlgaeCal and Strontium Boost. I haven't tried the Kitchen Sink multi-vitamin. I haven't had to pay any duty so far. http://www.algaecal.com/order-page.html

Thanks JC will take a look. Tried to order some more Os-Cal before I found NOS forum on AlgaeCal. The cost of the Os-cal was £11.22 for 120 tabs & shipping £22.47 which I think is excessive, I have had some limited experience of buying goods from the States & the shipping was nothing like the shipping costs of the Os-Cal. I did however get stung for import duty because the order I placed exceeded $30, so I'm reassured that you said you haven't had a problem. Many thanks again & I'll let you know how I get on.

Morning again JC
Have had a quick look @ the website for AlgaeCal+StroniumBoost. Can you confirm that although the product is going to exceed $30 you did not have to pay duty? If it was over this value was there a special customs information form attached to your package? Sorry for all the questions, but I really don't want to be billed excessive duty if it can be avoided. Thanks for your help and if anyone else has had experience of buying from the States, I would be very grateful for any advice you can give me.

I see from the internet that you can buy AlgaeCal Plus and Strontium Boost from a UK supplier: http://www.bionetics.co.uk/acatalog/Algaecal_Plus.html They may work out cheaper than importing from the US after shipping and possible customs duty.
And this 'Sea Calcium' from Higher Nature also looks interesting: http://www.highernature.co.uk:80/ShowProductFamily.aspx?ProductFamilyID=225 It might be similar to AlgaeCal as it says it's made from Lithothamnion Calcarea and AlgaeCal says it's made from Algas Calcarea so those Calcarea are presumably the same family of sea plants. Might be worth looking into.
Higher Nature say they will send samples for you to try so I've asked them for some of their Sea Calcium because you never know, maybe I won't react badly to it like I do to other calcium supplements.

| Annabell thanks for the UK site for AlgaeCal, that is really helpful. I thought I could only buy this from the US. I will use the UK site from now on.

| I had a look at this UK website (distributor for algaecal) and it seems too expensive. On the US website, they offer quite a discount if you order a year's supply. Perhaps the UK website will offer a discount if asked. As it stands, it's cheaper to order from the US. Best wishes Lizzy

| Good point Lizzy. I tried the UK site and put 2 of the Algaecal in the online basket (without completing the order) and it showed a £5.21 discount from the single price. So there is a discount for multiples but worth checking which is the cheaper for the quantity you want.
