Hi all
I wrote last week re new problems caused by medication and have already received helpful comments. Reading some of the forum took me to Better Bones Better Body and Dr Susan Brown's book. I have ordered it from Amazon and should receive it next week. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has it and has perhaps tried some of her ideas. I was impressed with her CV at any rate.

I am 75 y.o.a and relatively fit. We walk about 2 miles 2 or 3 times a week & eat a sensible vegetarian / white meat / fish diet. A former smoker - stopped getting on for 40 years ago. I enjoy a glass of red wine with my supper. I wonder if that is wise as taking it last thing it may also be affecting the oesophagus. I don't want to give it up, but I'm thinking about having it at lunch-time instead.

My appreciation goes to those who set it up and who run it.
Best wishes.
Janac

Hi Janac,

The 'Better Bones, Better Body' book is one among several books on osteoporosis I have and it is very good. Lots on diet and acid/alkaline balance, lots on exercise too.

I have a glass of red wine with my evening meal.....as long as it's with food it doesn't affect my oesophagus and red wine does have some health benefits.

Anne
