I'm so pleased to have found this website. I'm 50, had Ostoporosis (diagnosed at 44 after a bad break) then after a really serious break in 2007. Through a regime of Yoga (daily, with lots of inversions) which has revolutionised my health and welbeing, less protein in the diet, supplements of calcium, vit D and Magnesium I reversed the problem and now have Osteopenia. When I became menopausal Iwas put on Bon Viva (Ibandronique acid). This has now been withdrawn as a treatment in France where I live so I've been prescribed Protelos. So before taking it I decided to find out what people thought. I actually feel quite good about it now having read your comments so will start it tonight. I am though bothered by the fact that all of these treatments stop the Osteoblasts from working at all. I read an article recently click on this link or type into your browser, it's about the Calcium myth and also about how the Osteoporosis drugs end up just producing dense but brittle bones.

Would be interested in anyone's perspective on this.

Wow, really interesting article ! So those of us who have osteoarthritis and who take Strontium Ranelate for our osteoporosis are helping both conditions with the one medication - brill
