You think you have found a 'cure' and then someone says 'ah but....' It sometimes get me so frazzled I do not know where to turn.

This forum is the only place that I go, as here you get lots of different views and no one is 'pushing' any one 'remedy'.

It's still bewildering though.

Sarah

RE: Good job I like prunes!

Thanks for your take on that Sarah. It's good to have differing points of view - gives me something to think about - and I'm always learning! It's a minefield isn't it?

RE: Good job I like prunes!

Interesting article, but unsure about whether prunes are a good thing! this is because prunes appear to behave like bisphosonates in preventing resorbtion (breaking down of old bone). And I thought the important thing was not to hinder resorbtion or the work of osteoblasts (which help build new bone).

So not sure about it. But an interesting article. Thank you for posting it.

Sarah

RE: Good job I like prunes!

Thanks for that Eliza, I love prunes too and usually have 2 or 3 with my breakfast - not sure I could eat 10 but will try!!! I also drink a cup of light green tea with lemon a day, perhaps I should drink more of that too!!

Good job I like prunes!

Here's another interesting article -

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/08/110818093048.htm

This site also carries another article on the green tea effect on OP.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/09/090916103424.htm

Off to buy some prunes! :)
