This forum is for those affected, or whose children are affected, by osteoporosis and fractures in childhood. There is a rare form of unexplained osteoporosis in children referred to as' idiopathic juvenile osteoporosis' although sometimes bones become fragile because of other medical conditions or drug treatments.

This forum is for women or those close to them affected by osteoporotic fractures around the time of childbirth. This is a very rare condition that usually occurs in only one pregnancy and resolves but can cause pain and distress with problems of diagnosis; recognition and subsequent support.
